Details of the Job/Internship

Indigo Group is hiring a Legal Intern to join their legal department in Charni Road, Mumbai. This is a full-time, paid internship offering hands-on experience in litigation, compliance, and corporate law.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist in managing active company law cases and appear in court.
• Regularly check and navigate eCourt portals and High Court websites for case updates and hearing schedules.
• Draft, review, and edit legal contracts, internal memos, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings, especially related to corporate and regulatory matters.
• Maintain case files and assist in due diligence processes.
• Prepare concise case summaries and provide periodic updates to stakeholders and management.
• Attend meetings, hearings, or depositions, and take accurate and detailed notes.
• Help manage and update legal databases and filing systems.
• Maintain and update legal databases, tracking systems, and case management tools to ensure accuracy and timely updates.

Eligibility

• Current enrollment in an accredited law school (1L, 2L, or 3L).
• Prior exposure or coursework in company law is essential.
• Strong legal drafting and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with eCourt systems, High Court websites, and basic litigation procedures.
• Proficiency in legal research platforms like LexisNexis, Manupatra, or Westlaw.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must handle sensitive information with a high level of discretion.
• Bonus: Candidates who have cleared 1 or both groups of CS Executive exams are preferred.
