Details of the Job/Internship
MIR Insaaf Legal Associates is hiring a Legal Intern with a law degree or currently enrolled in a law program to join their office in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in managing day-to-end legal matters and handling complex legal issues.
- Prepare, organize, and arrange case files specifically for court filing procedures.
- Manage "section works" and ensure all administrative legal requirements are met for upcoming hearings.
- Utilize AI tools in a balanced and efficient manner to assist in document preparation and research.
- Conduct legal research and assist in the drafting and review of legal consultancy documents.
- Attend court hearings across Chennai, including the High Court and local district courts, as required.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with colleagues and clients regarding case updates.
- Take proactive responsibility for minor operational tasks to ensure a smooth legal practice.
Eligibility
- Current enrollment in a recognized law program or possession of a law degree.
- Location Requirement: Must be a resident of Chennai or currently staying in Chennai.
- Proficiency in using AI for legal tasks in a responsible and effective way.
- Strong "quick learner" mindset with the ability to act fast under minimal supervision.
- High level of accountability and professional integrity; must be willing to commit for 6 months.
- Basic knowledge of legal document preparation and an interest in litigation.
