Details of the Job/Internship

Pirgal Consulting is hiring a Legal Intern to join its legal team in Bengaluru. The role offers hands-on learning under the guidance of experienced legal professionals and exposure to property law, income tax matters, courtroom proceedings, and legal drafting and research. The position requires a strong interest in law, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to developing core legal skills.

Role and Responsibilities

Property Law Learning:

• Assist in providing legal support on property-related matters.
• Participate in drafting, reviewing, and refining real estate contracts and agreements.
• Observe the handling of property disputes and advocacy before relevant legal forums.

Income Tax Matters Training:

• Conduct supervised legal research on income tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in analysing income tax implications relevant to the organisation.
• Support the drafting of legal documents, including replies and appeals, under guidance.

Courtroom Observation:

• Shadow senior legal professionals during court hearings and proceedings.
• Learn courtroom advocacy and presentation of legal positions.
• Observe developments in legal frameworks and strategy formulation under supervision.

Drafting and Research Development:

• Assist in preparing and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Undertake legal research to support ongoing matters and provide inputs to the team.
• Ensure accuracy and legal compliance of documentation under supervision.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to provide legal assistance.
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry practices through training and mentorship.
• Provide support on various legal matters as assigned by supervising attorneys.
