Details of the Job/Internship
SurveySparrow is hiring a Legal Intern for a six-month, work-from-office role in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating legal agreements, including Non-Disclosure Agreements, Service Agreements, and Data Processing Agreements.
- Support the Legal team on data protection and privacy compliance matters.
- Conduct legal research on applicable data protection laws and contractual best practices.
- Maintain and organize contract templates and legal documentation.
- Support internal stakeholders by addressing basic contract-related queries under supervision.
- Assist in streamlining and documenting internal legal processes and workflows.
- Support compliance tracking and other internal legal documentation as required.
Eligibility
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a law degree (LLB, LLM, or equivalent).
- Prior experience or exposure to drafting or reviewing commercial agreements or related documentation.
- Prior internship or hands-on experience with a corporate legal team or a law firm preferred.
- Exposure to SaaS, technology, or commercial contracts preferred.
- Basic understanding of compliance frameworks, risk assessment, and data protection and privacy regulations.
- Strong legal drafting, written communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
