Techno India Group is hiring a Legal Intern for its office in the Kolkata Metropolitan Area. A legal trainee position in India is designed for final-year law students or recent law graduates (LLB/BA LLB/B.Com LLB/BBA LLB) seeking hands-on experience in a corporate or law firm environment. The role typically involves conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, assisting in compliance, and supporting senior lawyers with case management.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on corporate, commercial, and intellectual property laws.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents including contracts, agreements, NDAs, and MoUs.
- Support litigation work by preparing case files, researching case laws, and drafting pleadings such as petitions, replies, and affidavits.
- Assist with regulatory compliance, maintain compliance checklists, and conduct preliminary due diligence.
- Provide administrative support by managing legal files, updating case records, and organising documentation.
- Liaise with external counsels, internal teams, and occasionally government authorities.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB, BA LLB, BBA LLB) from a recognised university.
- Usually suitable for freshers or candidates with 0–1 year of experience.
- Strong legal research skills using tools such as SCC Online and Manupatra, excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
