The organisation promotes safe sport, strengthens safeguarding standards and supports athlete well-being at all levels.

Details of the Job/Internship

The Gymnastics Ethics Foundation is hiring a Legal Intern to gain hands-on experience in sports law, integrity, compliance and safe sport. This paid internship offers exposure to real cases, collaboration with senior staff and insight into the functioning of an international sports integrity body.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work with the Executive Director, the Head of Legal Affairs and the GEF team on disciplinary, governance and integrity matters.
• Support case management by analysing incoming matters, preparing case files, drafting communications and assisting during proceedings before the Disciplinary Commission and the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
• Participate in witness interviews and take clear, structured notes and minutes.
• Conduct targeted legal and factual research and produce concise summaries.
• Assist with organising meetings and internal processes, including scheduling, filing and maintaining records.
• Contribute to special projects and ad-hoc assignments in support of the GEF’s mission.

Eligibility

• Currently enrolled in or having recently completed a Master’s degree in Law.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French or other languages is an asset.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and clear communication abilities.
• High level of organisation and reliability.
• Discretion, professionalism and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Strong interest in sport.
• Valid work permit required.
