Details of the Job/Internship
Votum is seeking a Legal Intern to assist with legal research, drafting, and supporting product innovation in the legal-tech space. This opportunity is ideal for law students or recent graduates who want to enhance their legal skills while gaining practical exposure to technology-driven legal practice.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on statutes, judgments, and precedents to support product development and client queries.
- Assist in drafting contracts, NDAs, MoUs, and other legal documents under supervision.
- Review internal and external documents for compliance, accuracy, and risk assessment.
- Prepare case studies and legal briefs showcasing the use of technology in practice.
- Collaborate with the team on knowledge management projects, including summarizing judgments, curating precedents, and annotating cases.
- Support business development activities such as preparing pitch decks and proposals.
- Contribute ideas for campaigns, events, and webinars aimed at legal professionals.
Eligibility
- Current law student (3rd year or above in a 5-year course / final year in a 3-year course) or recent law graduate.
- Strong legal drafting and research skills (preferred but not mandatory).
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Interest in legal-tech, innovation in law, and emerging technologies.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
