Details of the Job/Internship

Sua & Co is hiring Legal Interns and Paralegals to join their office in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves supporting dispute resolution matters through legal research, drafting, document preparation, and assisting lawyers during hearings and trials within a dynamic legal setting.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on Malaysian case law and statutes.
• Draft cause papers, affidavits, correspondence, and summaries.
• Prepare court bundles, including pleadings, documents, and authorities.
• Organise and maintain physical and electronic files.
• File documents through the e-Filing system and conduct case searches.
• Conduct searches under SSM or through e-filing platforms.
• Prepare chronologies, notes, and case summaries for lawyers.
• Attend client meetings and collect documents or information.
• Proofread documents for accuracy and compliance with court rules.
• Assist lawyers during hearings and trials.

Eligibility

For Paralegals:

• Diploma or Degree in Law (LL.B preferred).
• Good understanding of legal processes and documentation.
• Skilled in legal research, drafting, and administrative support.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to assist in trial preparation and client management.

For Interns:

• Pursuing a Law Degree (LL.B) or CLP.
• Strong writing, research, and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist in daily office tasks.
• Interest in dispute resolution and legal practice.

Salary/Stipend
