Details of the Job/Internship

POPter Media Network is hiring a Legal Intern in Mumbai. Ideal for current law students interested in media law, IP, and contracts, this role offers hands-on experience in legal aspects of content production and distribution.

Role and Responsibilities

• Contract Review and Drafting: Assist with the review, drafting, and negotiation of various contracts, including but not limited to production agreements, distribution agreements, talent agreements, licensing agreements, and vendor agreements.
• Intellectual Property Management: Conduct research on copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property issues. Assist with the registration and maintenance of intellectual property rights. Monitor and address potential infringement issues.
• Legal Research: Conduct legal research on relevant laws and regulations related to content production, distribution, and online media.
• Compliance: Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including privacy laws and content regulations.
• Document Management: Organize and maintain legal documents and files.
• General Legal Support: Provide general legal support to the legal team as needed. Assist with creating and maintaining legal templates. Assist with clearance work for content.

Eligibility

• Currently enrolled in an accredited law school.
• Strong interest in entertainment law, media law, and intellectual property.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
• Basic understanding of contract law.
• Committed to maintaining confidentiality.
