Details of the Job/Internship
Astraea International is hiring a Legal Intern to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, briefs, and other submissions related to arbitration cases.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research on international laws, treaties, and case precedents relevant to ongoing arbitrations.
- Assist in the preparation and management of case files, including organizing documents and evidence for arbitration hearings.
- Support senior attorneys in case strategy sessions and during arbitration hearings.
- Engage with clients and opposing counsel as part of the case management process.
Eligibility
- Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, an accredited law school with a focus on international law or arbitration.
- Demonstrated interest and foundational knowledge in international arbitration. Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, with the ability to handle complex legal information.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
