Details of the Job/Internship
LegalPay is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Legal Intern for a 3-month duration in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, plaints, and written statements.
- Prepare legal notices, such as Section 138 NI Act notices, and various interlocutory applications.
- Conduct in-depth legal research on complex propositions related to IBC, company law, and contract disputes.
- Prepare detailed case notes, date-wise summaries, and briefing documents for senior counsels.
- Monitor the status of ongoing litigation and track hearing dates across various jurisdictions.
- Assist with document collation and annexure preparation for formal court filings.
- Support the team in analyzing litigation funding opportunities and assessing recovery potential.
Eligibility
- Currently in the 4th or 5th year of a 5-year B.A. LL.B. program or the 3rd year of a 3-year LL.B. program.
- Demonstrated interest in corporate litigation, insolvency proceedings, and commercial dispute resolution.
- Exceptional legal drafting skills with high precision and attention to formatting.
- Proficiency in using legal research databases such as SCC Online and Manupatra.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with a proactive and professional mindset.
