NAYAN is inviting law students to intern with them at the New Delhi office.
They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented legal intern to join their company’s legal department. The intern will primarily be responsible for assisting the legal team with drafting various legal documents, including general agreements, employment agreements, legal notices, and providing support in matters related to company law. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining practical experience in a corporate legal environment and expanding their drafting skills.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting and reviewing general agreements, employment agreements, legal notices, and other legal documents as assigned by the legal team.
- Conduct legal research and provide summaries and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents.
- Collaborate with the legal team to ensure that all drafted documents comply with applicable laws and company policies.
- Assist in maintaining and organizing legal files, records, and databases.
- Provide general administrative support to the legal department, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating document reviews.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting the company and its operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as HR and Finance, to ensure legal compliance and provide guidance when needed.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Eligibility
- Currently pursuing their 4th/5th year or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Law.
- Strong drafting and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of contract law, company law, and employment law.
- Familiarity with legal research tools and databases.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Prior experience or internships in a Tech-based company will be considered an advantage.
