Neev - Foundation for Legal Aid, founded in July 2020, aims to provide access to justice for the urban poor in Delhi, focusing on human rights violations and women's and children's rights. Neev uses legal aid, awareness, and mediation to improve access to the legal system. Its mission is to use the law as a catalyst for social change, promoting socially just outcomes through legal education, quasi-legal support, and pro-bono litigation.
Details of the Job/Internship
Neev - Foundation for Legal Aid is inviting applications for an on-site internship opportunity. The office is located in Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- To support the team in Legal documentation and court cases (High Court and District Courts in Delhi).
- To translate legal information into publications suitable for layreaders/audiences (it includes writing press notes, developing flyers, memos, pamphlets etc., state-of-the-art reviews, and so on).
- Familiarize with the objectives, history, and outcomes of ongoing projects
- Execute the activities related to community engagement and social justice.
- Assist in conducting fieldwork, community engagement, anchoring discussions for public meetings organized by the organization, and similar activities.
- Conduct secondary research, read policy documents and prepare comprehensive summaries on current topics related to the organizational agenda.
- Collaborate with other team members to write reports, assist in establishing new collaborations.

MS-Office, MS-Word, English Proficiency (Spoken), English Proficiency (Written), Hindi Proficiency (Spoken).
