Special Situation Advisors (India) Pvt. Ltd. (SSA) is a leading Financial Advisory firm specializing in transactions involving Stressed Debt/ Non-Performing Loans (NPL). Since its inception in 2010, SSA has built up a strong reputation for providing end-to-end solutions to Banks, NBFCs, Specialized Funds/Investors and Corporate Clients.
Banks including the private sector, public sector, NBFCs as well as ARCs send us the list of mortgaged assets or auctioned properties for them to market and find potential buyers as the market for distressed properties is very unorganized, they have come up with an organized market structure for the sale of these assets.
Details of the Job/Internship
Special Situation Advisors (India) Pvt. Ltd. is inviting law students to intern with them at their Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Working on Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, 2016 cases filed before the NCLT.
- Handling scrutiny of orders of the NCLT, NCLAT, and SC to identify relevant information as per requirement.
- Collating data regarding liquidation cases before the NCLT.
- Collecting relevant information from websites such as IBBI, Insolvency professional's website, etc.
- Assisting Seniors in the Bank NPL portfolio sale.
- Helping in setting up and managing the data room for the bank.
- Resolving queries of investors in the data room.
- Documentation and Due diligence process.
Eligibility
- Knowledge of current trends in the distressed debt industry.
- Sound knowledge of banking law and the Negotiable Instruments Act.
- Good understanding of the SARFAESI Act, DRT and IBC law, etc.
- Work experience in banking/similar industries would be an added advantage.
- Sound judgment and ability to analyse situations and information.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Confident individual with excellent presentation skills.
- Good knowledge & experience of using MS Office.
- Should take ownership of the work.
- Graduation or Pursuing LLB.
