Details of the Job/Internship

Wadhwani AI is looking for a candidate for the position of Legal Trainee for their Internship Program in New Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and review basic agreements including NDAs, MOUs, vendor contracts, and addendums with attention to clarity and precision.
• Support contract lifecycle management, including document tracking, renewals, and maintaining executed agreements.
• Ensure proper document execution, including notarization and secure filing in legal repositories.
• Assist with FCRA compliance processes, such as organizing documents, supporting audits, and maintaining proper records.
• Conduct legal research on sector-specific laws (e.g., healthcare, education), data protection regulations (DPDP Act), and state-level compliance requirements.
• Gain familiarity with organizational structures like societies and their legal implications.
• Draft initial versions of board notes, meeting minutes, and internal legal briefings.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as Finance and Operations for document collection and regulatory compliance checks.
• Review and support execution of basic tech-related contracts (SaaS agreements, platform terms & conditions).
• Assist in preparing and organizing IP-related documentation such as licensing agreements, content rights, and digital compliance materials.

Eligibility

• Final-year law student or recent law graduate.
• Strong command of English legal drafting.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to handle sensitive documentation
• Familiarity with nonprofit, tech, or policy-driven sectors is a plus.
