Details of the Job/Internship
Jio is hiring a Legal-IT Technology and Telecom Procurement with experience of 3 to 4 years to join their office in Navi Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting, vetting, negotiating, and executing various strategic commercial agreements relating to Procurement and Contract (P & C) for telecom, enterprise information technology, and e-commerce, with both domestic and international third parties.
- Prepare standard forms of contract, process for implementation, and guidelines for execution of contracts (including preparing template of IPR licensing clauses in agreements).
- Facilitate interactions with cross-functional teams like direct/ indirect tax, IPR, industrial relations, & regulatory teams for various contracts, transactions etc.
- Advisory services: Assisting the company in providing day-to-day legal advice to concerned teams, and ensuring compliance with industry-specific laws and other general laws.
- Advice businesses on strategies due to changes in laws, to various stakeholders on various legal and compliance issues on a need basis.
- Providing solution-oriented, guidance on specific issues as may be sought by different functions.
- Advise business on IPR strategies to identify and manage the most effective structure for protection/use of IPR owned by Reliance, royalty arrangements, licensing, and sub-licensing of IP in order to ensure efficiency, risk mitigation, and revenue optimization by Reliance.
- Providing legal support to brand protection initiatives.
- Provide necessary support as required by the litigation team.
- Monitor business processes and practices at NHQ and ensure the organization is operating as per defined policies and guidelines under the Indian Legal system and various statutory and regulatory guidelines.
- Minimize the legal risk involved in contracts, and ensure adherence to Reliances policies & practices.
- Response to all complaints and issues/disputes raised within a reasonable time.
- MIS reporting for Business-related activities.
- Hire, train, and manage talent at NHQ.
Eligibility
- LL.B. (required), LL.M. (preferable)
- Experience in years: 3-14 years
- Strong contract drafting, vetting, reviewing and negotiating skills individually with attention to detail.
- Strong capabilities of training the legal team for creating a backup.
- Strong capabilities to lead the team in case of need.
- Sound legal knowledge driven by logical and reasoned approach.
- Pragmatic, solutions-based approach to legally achieving business objectives.
- Ability to interpret and apply laws to practical business scenarios.
- Good communication skills (written as well as spoken) and analytical abilities.
- High degree of passion & motivation.
- Willing to handle a wide variety of challenging assignments.
- Ability to work and collaborate across functions and within the legal team.
- Open to learning and adapting to new environments.
Salary/Stipend
