The New Indians is hiring for the position of Legal Journalist with 5+ years of experience to join their office in New Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Report on breaking legal news, key judgments, and courtroom updates.
• Write compelling press releases, articles, and deep-dive features on legal issues.
• Conduct exclusive interviews with renowned jurists and legal experts.
• Coordinate and liaise with Supreme Court judges and other high-profile legal professionals for guest features.
• Deliver accurate, well-researched, and engaging legal content for a wide digital audience.

Eligibility

• 5+ years of experience in legal journalism, reporting, or a related field.
• Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Strong editorial judgment and attention to accuracy.
• A degree in Law, Journalism, or a related field.
• Bonus: On-camera, podcasting, or broadcast journalism experience.

Salary/Stipend
