Details of the Job/Internship

YLT Legal Services is hiring a Legal Language and Documentation Specialist with 1–10+ years of experience to join their hybrid team in New Delhi or remotely. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Translate legal documents such as contracts, affidavits, court orders, and pleadings between English, Hindi, and other languages.
• Type legal documents at a minimum of 45 WPM with 95% accuracy.
• Transcribe legal proceedings, hearings, and recorded statements accurately and confidentially.
• Format, proofread, and prepare documents for legal filings and records.
• Collaborate with the legal team to meet deadlines and ensure compliance with legal standards.

Eligibility

• Fluency in English, Hindi, and native languages (additional language proficiency is a plus).
• 1–10+ years of experience in legal translation, transcription, or typing (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Indian legal terminology and procedures.
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM with 95% accuracy.
• Proficiency in MS Word and legal document formatting.
• Attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
• Diploma or degree in law, linguistics, or translation (typing/transcription certification is a plus).
