Details of the Job/Internship

Licious is hiring a Legal Leader with experience of 15+ years to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to founders, CFO, and leadership on legal, regulatory, and governance matters.
• Lead legal and governance readiness, including due diligence, disclosures, DRHP, filings, and coordination with external advisors.
• Build and institutionalise corporate governance frameworks aligned with public market standards.
• Oversee board governance, shareholder matters, and investor-facing legal processes.
• Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, 2013 and SEBI regulations.
• Lead end-to-end commercial contracting across business functions.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sourcing, labelling, and distribution regulations.
• Oversee employment law, ESOP structures, workplace policies, and POSH compliance.
• Build and scale the legal team, processes, and legal operations.
• Develop legal playbooks, contracting frameworks, and risk mitigation systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support innovation while managing legal and regulatory risks.

Eligibility

• Qualified lawyer in India with 15+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience across top-tier law firms and in-house leadership roles, preferably in consumer tech, e-commerce, or IPO-stage companies.
• Experience in preparing organisations for public markets and operating in governance-intensive environments.
• Deep expertise in corporate law, governance, commercial contracting, regulatory compliance, data privacy, and risk management.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Ability to balance legal risk with business growth in fast-paced environments.

Salary/Stipend
