Details of the Job/Internship
Maiz Kitchens is hiring a Legal Manager for Retail Operations to support its expansion in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and finalize retail lease agreements and leave & license agreements for new and existing outlets.
- Draft legal notices and coordinate with external counsels for litigation or dispute resolution.
- Manage the entire gamut of licenses and regulatory compliance required for retail and food outlets.
- Liaison with government authorities and external consultants for store-related approvals and permits.
- Provide strategic legal support to the expansion and operations teams to ensure smooth store rollouts.
- Monitor renewals and compliance deadlines across multiple restaurant locations.
- Review and negotiate vendor contracts and service agreements related to retail infrastructure.
Eligibility
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in legal operations.
- Preferred Background: Experience working with retail chains, QSR brands, mall developers, or retail management companies.
- Strong expertise in property law, specifically regarding commercial leasing and licensing.
- Proven ability to liaison with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
