Details of the Job/Internship

Petroexcel Technology Services (P) Limited is hiring a Legal Commercial Manager with experience in EPC Contracts to join their office in Vadodara, Gujarat.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle contracts and procurement matters in large EPCC companies executing projects worth $100M+.
• Draft, review, and negotiate EPC, procurement, and commissioning contracts, including international contracts and imports of capital goods and materials.
• Provide expert advice on legal, commercial, financial, and operational risks in contract execution.
• Manage complex contractual provisions including liquidated damages, warranties, guarantees, passing of title, risk, payment structures, IPR, confidentiality, and dispute resolution.
• Draft agreements related to JV, technology licensing, sales and off-take, financing, service providers, production sharing, and encumbrances.
• Support governance, compliance, and risk management related to commercial contracts.
• Handle claims, change orders, extra claims, and disputes, with experience in mediation and arbitration.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, public sector undertakings, and legal counsel.
• Communicate legal issues effectively to business executives in plain language.
• Stay updated with legislative and regulatory changes in relevant sectors.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputed Indian or internationally reputed institution or university.
• 6 to 15 years of experience in a reputed firm of Solicitors or Corporate House as a Contracts & Procurement Lawyer in large EPCC companies, preferably supporting Oil & Gas industries.
• Specialist postgraduate qualification related to Oil & Gas Sector or Commercial Law or Contract Law is preferable but not essential.
• Member of a relevant Bar in India.
• Experience with UK or US commercial and corporate laws is desirable.
• Exposure to top international Solicitor Firms and reputed Indian Law Firms.

Salary/Stipend
