Details of the Job/Internship

Lotus Group of Companies is hiring a Legal Manager – Construction & Real Estate with 8–10 years of experience to join their team in Mumbai / Mumbai Metropolitan Region / Maharashtra.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting, vetting, and negotiating construction contracts, EPC contracts, JV agreements, development agreements, vendor contracts, lease deeds, and consultancy agreements.
• Handling MOUs, LOIs, NDAs, subcontractor agreements, and purchase orders.
• Ensuring contractual risk mitigation and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Conducting land due diligence, title verification, and documentation review.
• Handling development agreements, conveyance deeds, sale agreements, and RERA-related documentation.
• Coordinating with external advocates, solicitors, and government authorities.
• Managing civil, commercial, arbitration, and property-related disputes.
• Coordinating with panel lawyers and tracking court cases.
• Preparing case briefs, documentation, and legal strategy inputs.
• Ensuring compliance with RERA, Stamp Duty and Registration laws, municipal and local development regulations, the Companies Act, and other applicable laws.
• Liaising with government bodies and regulatory authorities.
• Identifying legal risks in projects and suggesting preventive strategies.
• Advising management on legal implications of business decisions.
• Supporting tender documentation and bid submissions.

Eligibility

• LLB from a recognized university.
• Enrolled with the Bar Council of India, preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in the construction or real estate legal domain.
• Strong knowledge of property laws, contract law, arbitration, RERA, and corporate laws.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
