Lotus Group of Companies is hiring a Legal Manager – Construction & Real Estate with 8–10 years of experience to join their team in Mumbai / Mumbai Metropolitan Region / Maharashtra.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting, vetting, and negotiating construction contracts, EPC contracts, JV agreements, development agreements, vendor contracts, lease deeds, and consultancy agreements.
- Handling MOUs, LOIs, NDAs, subcontractor agreements, and purchase orders.
- Ensuring contractual risk mitigation and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Conducting land due diligence, title verification, and documentation review.
- Handling development agreements, conveyance deeds, sale agreements, and RERA-related documentation.
- Coordinating with external advocates, solicitors, and government authorities.
- Managing civil, commercial, arbitration, and property-related disputes.
- Coordinating with panel lawyers and tracking court cases.
- Preparing case briefs, documentation, and legal strategy inputs.
- Ensuring compliance with RERA, Stamp Duty and Registration laws, municipal and local development regulations, the Companies Act, and other applicable laws.
- Liaising with government bodies and regulatory authorities.
- Identifying legal risks in projects and suggesting preventive strategies.
- Advising management on legal implications of business decisions.
- Supporting tender documentation and bid submissions.
Eligibility
- LLB from a recognized university.
- Enrolled with the Bar Council of India, preferred.
- 8–10 years of experience in the construction or real estate legal domain.
- Strong knowledge of property laws, contract law, arbitration, RERA, and corporate laws.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
