Details of the Job/Internship
IDFC FIRST Bank is hiring a Collection Manager – Rural with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join its Operations team in Mumbai. The role involves planning, organising and overseeing collection activities, managing external agencies and in-house teams, optimising EMI recovery, and ensuring adherence to the bank’s collection processes and legal guidelines.
Role and Responsibilities
- Managing and undertaking the collections process for assigned debt portfolios.
- Tracking portfolios for specific buckets within the assigned area.
- Monitoring and controlling delinquency bucket-wise and DPD-wise, with focus on non-starters.
- Allocating targets to agencies and in-house teams and ensuring achievement of targets.
- Following up regularly with defaulting customers.
- Ensuring adherence to collection processes and legal guidelines.
- Tracing absconding default customers and initiating recovery actions.
- Recommending legal action for non-recoverable cases and coordinating with the legal team for closure.
- Maintaining collection-related administrative data, including delinquent account history and MIS reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Eligibility
- Graduate degree in any discipline.
- Postgraduate degree in any discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in collections.
