Details of the Job/Internship

IDFC FIRST Bank is hiring a Legal Manager – Debt Management with experience of 4 or more years to join their office in Tirunelveli. The role bearer will be responsible for planning, organising, directing, and overseeing collections department activities, managing associated agencies within the assigned territory, ensuring efficiency in EMI recovery from customers, and maintaining adherence to bank guidelines to support organisational objectives.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage and undertake the collections process for assigned debts.
• Regularly track the portfolio for specific buckets within the assigned area.
• Monitor and control delinquency area-wise, bucket-wise, and DPD-wise with focus on non-starters.
• Allocate and achieve targets from agencies and in-house teams.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with defaulting customers.
• Ensure adherence to collection processes and legal guidelines.
• Trace absconding default customers and initiate recovery processes.
• Recommend legal action for non-recoverable cases and follow up with the legal team for case closure.
• Maintain administrative collection data, including updating delinquent account history, preparing and maintaining MIS reports, and reviewing collection feedback on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Eligibility

• Graduate – Legal.
• Minimum of 4 or more years of experience in legal collections.
