Details of the Job/Internship

Indigo Group is hiring a Legal Manager with experience of 8+ years to join their office in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle civil and commercial litigation cases across courts and tribunals in India.
• Draft legal notices, petitions, affidavits, and represent the company in court proceedings.
• Collaborate with external legal counsels and manage litigation procedures.
• Draft, review, and vet corporate, vendor, investment, and employment agreements.
• Ensure agreements comply with Indian corporate and commercial laws.
• Provide legal advice during negotiations to safeguard company interests.
• Manage intellectual property matters, including trademark and patent registrations.
• Advise on IP disputes and ensure compliance with Indian IP laws.
• Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations, capital markets laws, and FDI policies.
• Provide legal guidance on RBI regulations and cross-border transactions.
• Draft and review real estate agreements such as sale deeds, leases, and title documents.
• Handle property disputes and ensure compliance with real estate laws.
• Manage consumer protection cases under applicable laws.
• Advise on onshore and offshore transaction structuring and cross-border investments.
• Implement compliance programs and monitor regulatory changes.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities such as SEBI, RBI, and other government bodies.
• Coordinate with external advisors, tax professionals, and legal consultants.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); LLM is preferred.
• Minimum 8+ years of legal experience in Indian corporate, civil, and intellectual property law.
• Strong knowledge of SEBI, RBI, FDI, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in handling intellectual property matters, including trademarks and patents.
• Good understanding of real estate and consumer protection laws.
• Strong communication skills in Hindi and English.
• Ability to work with regulatory bodies and external legal counsel.
• Familiarity with capital markets and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI tools and design platforms is preferred.
