Details of the Job/Internship
Accuspace is hiring a Legal Manager with 2 years of experience to join their office in Jaipur.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting and vetting of commercial contracts.
- Drafting and vetting of Lease, Leave & Licence, and Joint Retail Venture Agreements.
- Manage the legal issues including the pending litigation PAN India of the company with active coordination with the corporate legal team.
- Maintaining and updating MIS by taking day-to-day updates from the company’s on-board counsels and reporting to HO daily.
- Maintaining case files and records in a structured manner.
- Reviewing Due Diligence Reports of new properties proposed for acquisition for new retail stores.
- Reviewing Sale Deed, Gift Deeds, Transfer Deeds, or any other documents of the landlords by which the right and title of the existing retail store property is transferred, providing inputs to the corporate legal team, and supporting in preparing requisite documentation to protect the company’s interest.
- Coordinating with other regional cross-functions/stakeholders with respect to data requirements for pending and proposed cases.
- Preparing basic drafts or reviewing drafts of pleadings prepared by external counsel and sharing inputs with the corporate legal team.
- Undertaking research work and assisting the corporate office legal team to prepare cases.
- Appearing and deposing in courts for and on behalf of the company as and when required in Bangalore or other courts anywhere in the South region.
- Independently dealing with government and police authorities.
- Drafting police complaints, submitting them in the police station, and getting FIRs registered if required.
- Calculating or verifying stamp duty calculation on the registration of lease agreements of retail stores.
- Extending legal support to any function/vertical as needed.
- Managing and supervising compliance with statutory laws related to Shop & Establishment, Labour Laws, etc., as applicable to the company.
Eligibility
- LL.B degree from a reputed institution.
- 2 years of experience working with in-house teams in corporate houses or law firms.
- Fair knowledge of drafting agreements and contracts such as commercial contracts, Lease, Leave & Licence and Joint Retail Venture Agreements, and other miscellaneous documents such as Cancellation Deed, Attornment Deed, Affidavits, Undertaking, Declaration, Indemnity Bond, and Bank Guarantee.
- Knowledge of litigation especially pertaining to Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, eviction, labour, consumer, NI Act, laws related to Intellectual Property, Legal Metrology, etc., including court procedures.
- Ability to interact and deal independently with advocates, government, and police authorities.
- Open to travel and relocation across the country.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good team player.
- High professional integrity and ethical standards.
- Responsible and able to manage day-to-day work independently.
- Good command of MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
Salary/Stipend
