Details of the Job/Internship

Acme Generics is hiring for the position of Legal Manager to join their Chandigarh office. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Legal Advisory: Provide legal advice and support to the management team on a wide range of matters including corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues pertinent to the pharmaceutical industry.
• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements including supply agreements, licensing agreements, and partnership contracts to ensure the company’s interests are protected.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Stay updated with changes in legislation and assess their impact on the company.
• Litigation Strategy Development: Formulating and executing strategic plans for managing and resolving litigation matters, including commercial disputes, intellectual property issues, and regulatory challenges.
• Case Management: Leading the preparation and oversight of legal actions, from initial claim assessments and discovery to trial and settlement negotiations. 
• Dispute Resolution: Handle legal disputes and litigation, including managing external legal cases and developing strategies to resolve issues effectively.
• Risk Management: Identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Advise on risk management and implement best practices.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of legal documents and contracts. Prepare legal reports and summaries for senior management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as HR, Administration and Sales to provide legal insights and support business operations.
