Details of the Job/Internship

AGAS Manufacturing Group is hiring a Legal Head to oversee all legal, compliance, insurance, and regulatory matters related to its properties and business operations. The role includes managing external legal partners, coordinating with insurance providers, ensuring compliance with municipal and state regulations, and providing leadership in dispute resolution, debt recovery, and tenant-related legal matters.

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee legal matters with utility companies and disputes over outstanding balances from previous property owners.
• Act as the primary liaison with external law firms, government agencies, and regulatory authorities.
• Lead debt recovery strategies and coordinate with collection agencies.
• Monitor collection progress and approve escalations for legal action.
• Obtain and negotiate property insurance quotes and ensure timely renewals.
• File, track, and resolve insurance claims and audits.
• Manage zoning rights and compliance for properties, liaising with authorities and advisors.
• Collaborate with law firms to enforce judgments against tenants or third parties.
• Track active cases and advise management on risks and recovery strategies.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) required.
• Minimum 8–10 years of legal experience.
• Strong background in property law, insurance, compliance, debt recovery, tenant evictions, and municipal regulations.
• Proven ability to manage external law firms, insurance providers, and government authorities.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues to non-legal stakeholders.
• High ethical standards and sound judgment in decision-making.

Salary/Stipend
