Details of the Job/Internship
Air IQ Online Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a Legal Manager with 8–10 years of post-qualification experience to manage end-to-end legal operations for Air IQ Online Pvt. Ltd. and its sister companies under the Udaan Group of Companies in Siliguri. The role involves overseeing group-level legal operations, providing corporate and commercial legal support, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing litigation and legal risk, supporting HR on employment law matters, and strengthening governance and policy frameworks. The position requires close coordination with HR, operations, finance, and senior leadership to ensure business activities operate within applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage all legal operations for Air IQ Online Pvt. Ltd. and the Udaan Group of Companies.
- Act as the central legal point of contact across group entities.
- Ensure consistency in legal practices, documentation, and compliance standards across companies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including vendor agreements, service agreements, NDAs, MOUs, SLAs, and partnership contracts.
- Provide legal advisory support to business, operations, HR, and finance teams.
- Ensure compliance with corporate laws, labour laws, and commercial regulations.
- Track regulatory updates and advise leadership on impact and actions.
- Manage licences, registrations, renewals, and statutory filings.
- Support internal and external audits related to legal and compliance matters.
- Handle legal notices, disputes, and claims.
- Coordinate with external advocates, law firms, and legal consultants.
- Draft and review responses to legal notices and demand letters.
- Maintain litigation trackers, case status reports, and legal MIS.
- Support HR on employment law matters, including drafting and reviewing employment contracts and HR policies.
- Provide legal guidance on disciplinary actions, terminations, and grievance handling.
- Support drafting and implementation of company policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
- Identify legal and compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Eligibility
- LL.B degree.
- LL.M preferred.
- 8–10 years of post-qualification legal experience.
- Experience in in-house legal roles, preferably handling multiple entities or group structures.
- Strong exposure to HR legal matters and compliance.
- Experience in services, tech, or growth-stage organisations preferred.
