Details of the Job/Internship
Airtel Payments Bank is hiring Legal Manager with the experience of 2 to 4 years to join their office in Kolkata.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handling fraud related complaints from law enforcement agencies
- Receive, review, and assess incoming criminal complaints from various sources, such as law enforcement agencies, victims, and witnesses.
- Conduct thorough investigations to gather evidence, analyze facts, and assess the viability of criminal complaints.
- Prepare and file criminal complaints, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to legal requirements.
- Collaborate with legal teams and prosecutors to build strong cases and support effective prosecution efforts.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all criminal complaints, case progress, and relevant documentation.
- Represent the organization in court proceedings to defend against criminal complaints.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to develop defense strategies and arguments.
- Prepare legal documents, such as complaints, pleadings and briefs, to support the defense.
- Represent the organization in court for purpose of presenting evidence on its behalf.
- Stay informed about changes in criminal law and precedents to ensure an effective defense.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for government agencies, including law enforcement, regulatory bodies, and other relevant departments Facilitate communication and coordination between the organization and government agencies regarding criminal complaints, investigations, and legal proceedings.
- Collaborate with government agencies to exchange information, provide requested documentation, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with government agency representatives.
- Attend meetings, seminars, and training sessions related to criminal complaints, law enforcement practices, and legal updates.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Law.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in handling Criminal Complaints and practicing before District courts.
- Experience of Liasioning with police authorities to get FIR registered will be preferred
- Proven experience in criminal law, criminal complaint handling, and defense.
- In-depth knowledge of legal procedures, criminal codes, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills to evaluate evidence and assess the viability of criminal complaints.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing legal documents, presenting arguments, and interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport, build relationships, and collaborate effectively with government agencies and internal teams.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining case records and documentation.
- Proficient in legal research and familiar with legal databases and resources.
- Familiarity with government agencies and their roles in criminal investigations and proceedings.
