Details of the Job/Internship
AKME Fintrade (India) Ltd. is hiring for the position of Legal Manager with 5-7 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and review loan documentation, particularly related to Loan Against Property (LAP).
- Manage legal processes under Section 138 of the NI Act and SARFAESI Act.
- Draft, review, and negotiate co-lending and partnership agreements.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with RBI guidelines and applicable NBFC norms.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings and coordinate with external counsels.
- Provide strategic legal support to the business and manage ongoing litigation matters.
Eligibility
- Educational Qualification: LL.B. (LL.M. is a plus).
- Experience: 5–7 years in the NBFC/BFSI sector with hands-on experience in LAP, recovery, and regulatory frameworks..
Skills:
- Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and litigation capabilities.
- Sound understanding of SARFAESI, RBI regulations, and debt recovery laws.
- Ability to work independently and manage stakeholder communications effectively.
