B.L. Kashyap & Sons Ltd is hiring for the position of Legal Manager with 10+ years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Legal & Compliance
• Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance management strategy, ensuring adherence to government regulations and industry-specific requirements.
• Advise management and departments on legal, compliance, industrial relations, and administrative matters.
• Draft, review, and manage legal documents, including lease agreements for guest houses and workers’ accommodations.
• Interpret and communicate legal policies, guidelines, and directives from authorities to relevant teams.
• Represent the company before government bodies, regulatory authorities, courts, and clients, including handling hearings and follow-ups.
• Register under BOCW Act, obtain labour licences, and oversee filings under the Minimum Wages Act, BOCW Act, Bonus Act, Contract Labour Act, and other labour laws.
• Identify compliance risks, assess regulatory gaps, and guide teams on corrective measures.
• Administration & Liaison
• Organize compliance training sessions and awareness programs across departments.
• Coordinate with authorities for vehicle registrations, road tax, fitness certifications, RC transfers, and NOCs.
• Manage accident reporting, insurance claims, and liaison with police and legal authorities.
• Handle employee compensation claims and related statutory obligations.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of legal, compliance, and administrative reports.
• Industrial Relations
• Maintain healthy employer-employee relations in compliance with applicable labour laws.
• Ensure smooth functioning of EPF, ESIC, Gratuity, Group Term Insurance (GTI), and Group Health Insurance (GHI) processes.

Eligibility

• Education: LLB / LLM from an institute recognized by the Bar Council of India (Degree in Business Administration with a focus on compliance and risk management preferred).
• Languages: Fluency in English, Hindi, and Kannada is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of total experience, including at least 3 years in the construction industry.
