Details of the Job/Internship
Bajaj Housing Finance Ltd. is hiring a Legal Manager for its Ahmedabad operations. This role is tailored for a legal professional with 6 months to 2 years of experience who is locally based in Ahmedabad.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal vetting and title search of properties for housing loan applications.
- Scrutinize property documents to ensure they are free from encumbrances and have clear marketable titles.
- Manage the end-to-end legal documentation process for mortgage and loan agreements.
- Coordinate with external legal vendors and panel advocates for title search reports (TSR).
- Ensure compliance with state-specific land laws and RERA regulations in Gujarat.
- Support the credit and collection teams by providing legal opinions on collateral viability.
- Maintain organized legal records and MIS for all processed cases in the Ahmedabad region.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) is mandatory.
- 6 months to 2 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in banking, NBFC, or real estate.
- Must be locally based in Ahmedabad.
- Strong understanding of mortgage laws, property transfer acts, and local land revenue records.
- Good analytical and communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
