boAt Lifestyle is looking for candiate for the position of Legal Manager.

Role and Responsibilities

• Managing the entire Trademark/ IP portfolio (domestic as well as International) including the prosecution and litigation processes in relation thereto along with monitoring the trademark risk profile/watch notices, etc.
• Ensure compliance with the timelines and statutory compliances prescribed under IP Laws, Legal Metrology Act, Pollution control laws, and other applicable laws/ regulations.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating (domestic and international) Commercial/ Business Agreements, Distribution Agreements, Service Agreements, Lease Agreements, MOUs, Banking documentation, etc. amongst others.
• Liaise with the Attorneys for the Litigation matters (existing/ to be initiated) in the various court across India.
• Keeping track of legal notices received by the company and ensuring timely replies to the same.
• Develop training and awareness material on Trademark and IP matters and conduct trainings for relevant stakeholders.
• Conducting research on various laws/ regulations and preparation of opinion / case studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate transaction discussions/ implementation of compliances/ SOPs and to direct compliance issues to respective functions for resolution.
• Maintaining relevant trackers / MIS and preparation of reports/ presentations.
• Creating a knowledge repository with updates on laws, regulations, ordinances, notifications, etc.
• Any other matters/ activities related to any Corporate Legal function.

Eligibility

Skills Required:

• In-depth knowledge of Trademark Laws and prosecution processes, Legal Metrology Act, Consumer Protection Act, Contract Act, CPC and CrPc, etc. amongst others.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interface and collaborate effectively with all levels in a fast-paced dynamic business environment.
• Good team player with a collaborative approach in completing assignments.
• Leverage business understanding / functional expertise to deliver value to stakeholders.
• Proficient in managing priorities and expectations with respect to deliverables and deadlines with a proven ability to manage multiple assignments/ projects simultaneously.

Qualification:

• LLB / LLM from a reputed college.
• Post Qualification Experience of 6 to 8 years.
