Brainware University is hiring a Legal Manager with 5–7 years of experience to join its Kolkata campus.
Role and Responsibilities
- Independently manage legal, regulatory, and compliance matters of the University.
- Draft, review, and vet agreements, legal notices, replies, affidavits, and policy documents.
- Advise on laws relating to education, contracts, labour, and regulatory compliance.
- Support litigation management and coordination with external legal counsel.
- Ensure legally compliant decision-making and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
Eligibility
- LL.M. degree (mandatory).
- 5–7 years of relevant legal experience.
- Experience as a Legal Officer or Legal Manager in a university or college, or as a practising advocate.
- Enrolment with a State Bar Council for practising lawyers.
- Strong command of English for drafting, interpretation, and communication.
- Working knowledge of education laws, contracts, labour laws, compliance, and litigation management.
- Ability to work independently with high professional integrity.
