Brainware University is hiring a Legal Manager with 5–7 years of experience to join its campus in Kolkata.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters of the University.
- Draft, review, and vet agreements, notices, replies, affidavits, and policy documents.
- Manage litigation and coordinate with external counsel.
- Advise on laws relating to education, contracts, labour, and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and support governance-related legal matters.
- Ensure legally compliant and well-documented institutional processes.
Eligibility
- LL.M. qualification is mandatory.
- Enrolment with a State Bar Council for practising advocates.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience as a University or College Legal Officer or practising advocate.
- Prior exposure to higher education regulations, contracts, litigation, or compliance is preferred.
- Strong command of English for drafting and communication.
- Proficiency in digital documentation, legal databases, and email correspondence.
- High professional integrity and ability to handle sensitive matters independently.
