Details of the Job/Internship
The Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) is hiring a Legal Manager with 8–10+ years of experience to join their office in Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide timely, accurate, and strategic legal advice on all aspects of operations.
- Draft, review, and amend MoUs, NDAs, grant agreements, service agreements, and employment agreements.
- Ensure compliance with NGO-specific, labour, tax, data privacy, and other applicable laws.
- Oversee corporate governance, including drafting board resolutions, minutes, and policies.
- Manage litigations, disputes, and coordinate with external counsel.
- Develop and maintain policy repositories, legal documents, and training programs.
- Conduct due diligence on partners, projects, and initiatives.
- Leverage AI and automation to streamline legal reviews.
Eligibility
- LLB or Master’s in Law with 8–10+ years of relevant experience in law firms or corporate legal departments.
- Strong knowledge of laws relevant to non-profits, including FCRA, Trusts, Income Tax, GST, CSR, Labour Laws, and Data Protection.
- Experience in Grants Management preferred.
- Excellent writing, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and in multicultural environments.
