Details of the Job/Internship
Credila Financial Services Limited is hiring a Legal Manager with 2–3 years of experience to join its Mumbai office at Kalina. The role involves drafting and vetting legal documents, advising business teams on legal and regulatory matters, managing legal risks, supporting compliance initiatives, and providing proactive legal support to a rapidly scaling NBFC business.
Role and Responsibilities
- Act as a close legal partner to business teams across legal and compliance matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements and contracts, including lending-related documents.
- Advise on NBFC regulatory framework and commercial contracts used in the finance industry.
- Manage legal risks arising from business decisions and operations using effective risk management techniques.
- Advise on corporate, procurement, insurance, safety, security, and sustainability matters.
- Liaise with regulators, external counsel, public authorities, and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance policies.
- Support implementation and maintenance of the Company’s compliance programme and conduct compliance training.
- Draft and file criminal complaints, FIRs, legal notices, replies, and court-related documentation.
- Maintain awareness of legislative changes and implement updated company guidelines as required.
Eligibility
- LLB or LLM from a leading university in India.
- 2–3 years of relevant work experience in the financial services sector.
- Strong legal knowledge of corporate, commercial, and financial services laws.
- Experience in managing external legal counsel.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
