Details of the Job/Internship
DAMAC Properties is hiring a Legal Manager with experience of 2–7 years to join their office in Pune District. The role involves supporting financing transactions for real estate and hospitality projects, including drafting and negotiating finance documentation, advising on project and structured finance matters, and coordinating with finance teams, lenders, and legal colleagues.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate loan and facility agreements, security documents, guarantees, and related finance documentation for real estate and hospitality projects.
- Support financing for development projects including construction finance, off-plan or home-finance partnerships, refinancing, and structured finance.
- Assist in advising on project finance, corporate lending, acquisition finance, and structured finance transactions for projects in the UAE and internationally.
- Manage execution support on financing transactions including term sheets, conditions precedent, perfection of security over real estate and other assets, and post-closing actions.
- Ensure transactions comply with applicable UAE and international banking and real estate regulations and internal policies.
- Liaise with banks, Islamic financial institutions, advisors, and investors on financing solutions for properties.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to real estate financing and banking and brief internal stakeholders.
Eligibility
- Qualified lawyer with LL.B. from a recognised Indian university.
- LL.M. in banking, finance, or capital markets is an advantage.
- 2–7 years of post-qualification experience in banking and finance at a leading Indian law firm, bank, NBFC, or real estate developer with exposure to project or real estate finance.
- Experience drafting and negotiating loan, security, and inter-creditor documentation and supporting cross-border or offshore financing structures.
- Exposure to UAE or GCC real estate or financing work is preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
