Details of the Job/Internship

Decimal Technologies, is hiring for the position of Legal Manager with 8+ years of experience to join their office in Gurugram.

Role and Responsibilities

• Contract Lifecycle Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial contracts including IT services agreements, SaaS and licensing agreements, procurement and vendor contracts, and strategic partnerships—ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards.
• Legal Advisory: Provide practical, business-focused legal counsel to internal stakeholders, identifying contractual risks, obligations, and effective negotiation strategies that balance legal protection with operational efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, procurement, finance, sales, and operations teams to ensure contracts are commercially sound, legally compliant, and effectively managed throughout their lifecycle—including renewals, performance monitoring, and dispute resolution.
• Technology-Driven Contracting: Utilize smart contract management tools to streamline reviews, ensure consistency, and accelerate turnaround times—while improving accuracy and legal risk oversight.
• Playbook Development: Maintain and evolve a robust contract playbook with pre-approved clauses and templates, ensuring standardization across agreements and obtaining internal approvals for deviations where required.
• Regulatory Compliance: Track relevant legal and regulatory developments, and implement required updates to internal policies, processes, and templates to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Obligation Management: Establish a centralized repository for key contractual terms, obligations, and timelines, and ensure internal teams are informed and compliant through periodic monitoring and stakeholder education.

Eligibility

• Legal Expertise: Law degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate law, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance. In-house legal experience within IT, technology, or software companies is highly preferred.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong legal and commercial judgment with the ability to distill complex issues into clear, actionable advice.
• Drafting & Communication: Exceptional drafting skills and the ability to communicate legal concepts effectively to both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
• Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate complex agreements that align with business needs while mitigating legal risk.
• Independence & Organization: Self-starter with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
