Details of the Job/Internship
Dhruva Space is hiring a Legal Manager with experience of 3–5 years to support the company’s legal, regulatory, and compliance frameworks. The role is central to enabling compliant business growth, managing contractual obligations, supporting intellectual property, and aligning operations with national and international legal frameworks. The Legal Manager will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure that strategic initiatives are backed by strong legal foundations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, ensuring enforceability, clarity, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with national and international laws, including Contract Law, Civil Law, the Companies Act, Space Law, and UN treaties.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to support compliant and strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain legal templates, SOPs, and repositories to streamline processes and reduce turnaround time.
- Support management of the intellectual property portfolio and contribute to internal policy development.
- Manage the contract lifecycle using digital platforms and automation tools.
- Conduct legal research on emerging international frameworks, policies, and treaties relevant to the space-tech sector.
- Participate in organisational reviews, internal training, and compliance initiatives.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated programme) from a recognised institution.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in a law firm or in-house legal team, preferably in space, aerospace, or technology sectors.
- Strong expertise in contract drafting, negotiations, and compliance frameworks.
- Exposure to Space Law, International Law, and UN treaties is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interest in space technology, innovation, and international regulatory developments.
Salary/Stipend
