Digantara is a space situational awareness company that is developing an end-to-end infrastructure to address the difficulties of space operations and space traffic management through its pioneering Space - Mission Assurance Platform a.k.a. Space - MAP.
Details of the Job/Internship
Digantara is hiring a Legal Manager with 5–7 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru East, Karnataka, India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Create and manage standard contract templates, ensuring legal, IP, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee compliance with data protection laws and mission-specific frameworks across jurisdictions.
- Support fundraising efforts with legal due diligence and transactional documentation.
- Collaborate with external consultants on IP strategy and enforcement.
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize contracts for products and services, ensuring legal and business alignment.
- Develop strategies for international expansion in compliance with trade and jurisdictional laws.
- Assess legal risks, advise stakeholders, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent.
- 5–7 years of in-house legal experience (law firm experience within this period also acceptable).
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Sound understanding of sectoral regulations, commercial contracts, and IP laws.
- Experience with cross-border contracts, regulatory approvals, and international expansion.
- Prior experience in fundraising transactions.
- Strategic, problem-solving mindset with leadership and collaboration skills.
- LL.M in Business Law or related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of international space law frameworks is an added advantage.
- Experience in the technology or aerospace and defence sector is preferred.
