Details of the Job/Internship
DMI Finance is hiring for the position of Legal Manager with 3-5 years of experience to join their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and review debt documentation, including loan and NCD agreements.
- Prepare preliminary title due diligence reports for the Project Finance vertical.
- Identify and highlight discrepancies in property titles, licenses, and ownership documents.
- Review title due diligence reports prepared by external legal vendors.
- Maintain standard legal templates, documents, and checklists.
- Cross-check and review license and title documents to form preliminary legal opinions.
- Draft and vet miscellaneous agreements and supporting legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with all mortgage-related legal requirements.
- Coordinate closely with external lawyers, legal vendors, and internal teams on day-to-day matters.
Eligibility
Qualifications
- Minimum: LL.B (3-year or 5-year course) or LL.M.
Preferred:
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to work extended hours based on business needs.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Team-oriented mindset.
Work Experience
- Total Experience: 4–5 years.
- Relevant Experience: 3–4 years in the Banking/Financial Services. industry, preferably in the mortgage division.
Other Requirements:
- Proficiency in drafting/vetting loan and service agreements.
- Experience in title and corporate due diligence.
- Strong exposure to debt documentation (Loans/NCDs).
- Knowledge of company law and regulatory frameworks including SEBI. and RBI regulations applicable to NBFCs, Banks, and FIs.
