Details of the Job/Internship
They are seeking a Legal Manager to oversee legal and regulatory matters for US and Indian geographies. The role includes managing contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, handling litigation, and supporting corporate governance. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Indian labor laws, experience working with IT services companies, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Role and Responsibilities
Contract Management
- Draft, negotiate, and review contracts, including MSA, SOWs , and partner agreements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Establish and maintain standardized contract templates and processes for efficiency and consistency.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards across US and Indian operations.
- Monitor legislative changes, including labor laws, adapting policies and procedures accordingly.
Litigation Management
- Manage disputes, claims, and lawsuits involving the organization.
- Collaborate with external counsel to develop effective litigation strategies.
- Evaluate settlement options and provide recommendations to senior management for resolution.
Corporate Governance
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and assist senior management in fulfilling fiduciary responsibilities.
- Maintain corporate records and ensure adherence to corporate formalities and best practices.
Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with the organization’s activities.
- Provide legal support during crisis management situations.
Eligibility
Experience: 6+ Years.
