Details of the Job/Internship

Even is hiring a Legal Manager – Insurance & Technology with 6+ years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. The role reports to the CEO and involves managing all legal matters related to insurance operations, regulatory compliance, and product documentation while supporting business and technology teams.

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all legal matters related to insurance operations, including regulatory compliance and product documentation.
• Draft, review, and vet agreements including distribution, SaaS, partner, and employment contracts.
• Collaborate with business, finance, product, and technology teams to ensure compliance in product launches and innovations.
• Liaise with IRDAI and other regulatory bodies, and manage regulatory filings.
• Advise management on compliance requirements and maintain an updated compliance calendar.
• Handle disputes, claims, and litigation, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
• Track regulatory developments in insurtech, healthtech, and insurance sectors.
• Conduct compliance training and legal awareness programs for employees and partners.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive legal experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
• At least 2 years of experience in a technology-driven company or startup.
• Strong experience in drafting and vetting commercial contracts and agreements.
• Deep knowledge of IRDAI, broking, agency, TPA, and health compliance frameworks.
• Experience in regulatory liaison, compliance audits, and partnerships with hospitals or TPAs.
• Company secretarial compliance knowledge is an added advantage.
