Details of the Job/Internship

EYP Creations Pvt Ltd is hiring a Legal Manager with 2–3 years of experience to join their office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate artist, label, distribution, licensing, partnership, endorsement, and other commercial agreements.
• Ensure compliance with industry-specific legal frameworks and manage contractual obligations and disputes.
• Create and maintain a contract management system and database, including regular filing and updates.
• Follow up with vendors for contract closure.
• Advise on copyright laws, trademark protection, and licensing for music and multimedia content.
• Manage rights clearance for music, videos, and entertainment-related content.
• Monitor and address potential IP infringements, including piracy and unauthorized use.
• Ensure compliance with local and international media and entertainment laws.
• Stay updated on legal developments related to digital streaming, royalty collection, and content distribution.
• Support compliance with labour laws, data protection laws, and industry regulations.
• Provide guidance on disputes, copyright claims, and contract breaches.
• Coordinate with external counsel for litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
• Identify legal risks and propose strategies to mitigate them.
• Develop and implement internal legal policies and frameworks.

Eligibility

• LLB/LLM with a focus on media and entertainment, IP, or contract law.
• 2–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of copyright law, licensing agreements, and digital media regulations.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and contract management skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with A&R, finance, marketing, and operations teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Preferred: Experience with music labels, talent agencies, production houses, or entertainment platforms; experience with PROs, royalty structures, sync licensing, and digital streaming regulations.
