Gateway Search is hiring a Legal Manager with experience of 6 to 12 years to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and guidance to management and employees on a wide range of legal matters, including contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, litigation, and risk management.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents, ensuring they accurately reflect the organization's interests and comply with legal requirements.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization and provide recommendations for compliance.
• Coordinate and manage legal proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation, and represent the organization in legal disputes when necessary.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, departments, and cross-functional teams, to address legal issues and support business objectives.
• Ensure the organization's intellectual property rights are protected through appropriate legal measures, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in law, Juris Doctor (JD), or equivalent legal qualification. Master's degree in law or LLM preferred.
• Strong understanding and experience in SEA markets.
• Experience in carbon and ESG legalities is an added advantage.
• Admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction where the organization operates.
• Membership in the local bar association is required.
