Details of the Job/Internship

Gynoveda is hiring a Legal Manager with 7-12 years of experience to join their office in Malad (Mindspace), Mumbai. This is a full-time on-site role, reporting to the CFO with direct founder exposure for critical matters.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage litigation and disputes with customers, regulators, vendors, employees, and landlords.
• Draft responses, handle notices, and coordinate with external counsels.
• Resolve disputes at the pre-litigation stage and defend aggressively when necessary.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, landlords, employees, and consultants.
• Build and maintain a centralised contract repository with version control and renewal alerts.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws including Drugs & Cosmetics Act, FSSAI, ASCI, Shops & Establishments Act, and Labour Laws.
• Review advertising materials, clinic operations, and HR policies, and train teams on compliance.
• Provide legal advisory for M&A, fundraising, and investor diligence.
• Support due diligence for new clinics, maintain legal data rooms, and prepare ESG compliance reports.
• Anticipate legal risks and build SOPs and playbooks for recurring issues.
• Liaise with external law firms for specialised legal matters.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.).
• CS degree will be an added advantage.
• 7-12 years of experience in corporate legal roles with B2C national brands in healthcare chains, FMCG/food chains, or multi-city retail brands.
• Proven experience in litigation, compliance, and contracts across multiple cities.
• Hands-on, detail-driven approach with strong problem-solving skills.

Salary/Stipend
