Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt. Ltd. (HRPL) is the master franchisee for McDonald’s in West and South India. The company operates a large network of restaurants and is responsible for managing real estate, operations, compliance, and brand standards in alignment with McDonald’s global systems.

Details of the Job/Internship

HRPL is hiring a Legal Manager/Legal Counsel to handle a broad spectrum of legal work including contracts, compliance, litigation, real estate transactions, and internal investigations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal inputs to senior management on various legal matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts (leases, licenses, commercial agreements).
• Conduct legal due diligence for real estate sites and business partnerships.
• Identify legal risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and develop internal compliance frameworks.
• Liaise with external lawyers and manage complex legal matters.
• Handle litigation and pre-litigation notices, including drafting responses.
• Manage IPR filings and investigate violations.
• Support HR on employment contracts and legal issues.
• Conduct internal investigations into compliance breaches and grievances.
• Maintain legal records, agreements, and documentation.
• Represent the company in dealings with landlords and stakeholders.
• Support audits and address compliance gaps.
• Prepare legal reports and updates for senior management.

Eligibility

• LL.B. (LL.M. preferred).
• Strong experience in contract management, real estate law, and compliance.
• Experience handling litigation and coordinating with external counsel.
• Knowledge of IPR and employment laws.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and responsibilities.

Salary/Stipend
