Details of the Job/Internship
Hexnode is hiring a Legal Manager with experience of 8–13 years to join their office in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the company’s legal strategy.
- Oversee corporate governance and ensure compliance with local and international laws.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including SaaS agreements, NDAs, and licensing agreements.
- Ensure fulfilment of contractual obligations and mitigate legal risks.
- Manage legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Oversee protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
- Ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
- Handle corporate litigation and coordinate with external counsel.
- Advise executive leadership on legal matters.
- Represent the company in legal negotiations and regulatory meetings.
- Lead and mentor the in-house legal team.
- Maintain legal documentation and stay updated on relevant legal and regulatory changes.
Eligibility
- LLB or equivalent law degree from a recognized university.
- Additional qualifications such as LLM or Company Secretary are an advantage.
- Minimum 8–13 years of experience in a corporate legal role, preferably in a technology or SaaS company.
- Proven experience in corporate governance, contract negotiation, M&A, and intellectual property.
- Leadership experience managing legal teams.
- Strong knowledge of multi-jurisdictional legal issues, particularly in India and global markets.
- Willingness to work from the Chennai (DLF) office 5 days a week.
